Job Responsibilities include: Communicating with department managers to assess staffing needs while utilizing various sourcing methods to attract the most qualified candidates; reviewing incoming resumes and conducting pre-screens; interviewing, testing and evaluating applicants; coordinating interviews between the applicant and hiring managers/supervisors; conducting reference checks on potential new hires; conducting orientation programs to introduce new employees to the Firm's policies, procedures and benefits; coordinating new employee training with the Training Department; responding to employee requests for information; handling employee relations as needed; staying informed of all changes in employment laws; and performing other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements include: Bachelor's degree required; a minimum of 3-5 years of high volume recruiting experience, preferably in a corporate environment; extensive knowledge of the interviewing process and fair hiring procedures; knowledge and understanding of the Federal, State and City human rights laws as they relate to employment; advanced computer skills with a solid working knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred; excellent oral and written communication skills in addition to superior judgment; high standards of accuracy and attention to detail; the ability to deal discreetly with confidential information; the capability of working well under pressure; and the ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate applicants' interviewing needs.

Preferably looking for someone with 2-4 years of law firm experience, but would entertain someone with a similar background from other professional service environments. Need someone that is going to represent the firm well, be flexible to working extended hours at times for before and after hour interviews and has the ability to interface with all levels of personnel from Partner level attorneys to managers/supervisors to support staff. During down recruiting times this role will take on a more generalist responsibilities.
