Description:

Analyzes inventory levels and product demand to determine the amount of raw materials needed. Utilizes this data to create purchase requisitions in Oracle system and then tracks the progress of the purchase order all the way through delivery to the site.

Orders raw materials for client's bb2121 product. Works with suppliers to ensure material meets defined requirements and to setup reserves of inventory.

Works with other departments to determine optimal inventory levels and communicates shortages and back orders to internal customers. Tracking shipments, inspecting deliveries, communication with suppliers, requesting material certificates.

Will report to Warehouse Supervisor.

*This position is mostly clerical in nature.

Qualifications

Associate's degree highly desired along with 1 - 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area such as any manufacturing industry with material management experience. Associate degree requirement could be waived if candidate has additional related experience beyond 3 yrs.

Must have Purchasing / Buying experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a field.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required.
