Media organization in NYC has an opening for a long term temporary Payroll & Benefits Coordinator.
Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts, for Finance department.
Manage all FMLA/other leave administration and State disability program, documentation, communications
Manage daily benefit plan operations including all employee enrollments and life event changes for all Health and Welfare programs, FSA, Waiver Accounts, Life Insurance, and other voluntary benefits
1-2 years of experience within a similar role
Excellent numerical skills and should be able to work accurately and thoroughly
Able to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
Experience working with payroll systems such as ADP/Paychex
Experience working with various HRIS
