We are searching for Experienced Inpatient Coders for 100% remote positions. Selected applicants will be employed directly by the hospital in permanent full time positions from day one.

One of the largest and most reputable hospitals in the US is adding 100% REMOTE IP Coders to keep up with recent growth. We have 10 openings to fill ASAP; positions have a generous salary, an excellent bonus plan and top tier benefits. There are no location requirements so the coder can live anywhere in the US.
Assigns ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, and/or CPT/HCPCS codes, as appropriate, and abstract pertinent information from patient records using the 3M EMR and Encoder.
Utilizes technical coding principals and DRG and/or APC reimbursement expertise to assign appropriate diagnoses and/or procedures
Ensures optimal reimbursement of all cases in compliance with CMS policies and procedures and Official Coding Guidelines
Must possess a combination of education and experience as follows:
One or more years working as an Inpatient Coder in an acute care hospital setting, or for an agency coding inpatient hospital records.
Thorough knowledge of ICD-10 CM and PCS coding principles
Must be able to effectively utilize a computerized encoder and/or other reference guides on-line.
Knowledge of various hospital information systems, encoders and other technologies to facilitate a successful virtual work environment while maintaining maximum communication and adhering to HIPAA security standards.
Must be able to maintain very high DRG and overall accuracy rates while meeting required productivity standards.
