Set up a healthy and productive space
First things first. You will need a nice, clean, and organized space to work. Since your mind will have trouble separating workspace from personal space, it’s important to set up a mentally comfortable and healthy area for yourself. Establish a schedule early on
Remote work requires a lot of sitting, so you will want to establish a healthy schedule early on. You will likely have extra time in the morning without the stress of a commute. Use this time to leisurely wake up, make yourself breakfast, and settle in.

Familiarize yourself with technology
With any new job, there is going to be a learning curve with the new technology and software you’ll be using. This can be a little more challenging at home, as you can’t simply lean over to your closest coworker and ask questions. To avoid confusion, take your time browsing and navigating the onboarding materials provided during your first week. Be sure to ask your boss or manager and questions you have early on to prevent frustration down the line.
